Greetings, Family!

Happy New Year, 2010!

Hard to believe ten years have gone by so quickly. I remember Abram coming to stay with me over the new year of 2000 just in case something happened - with the start of a new century and all. :)

Here we are ten years later, like a flash! We've just had a very fine Christmas holiday together here in Fairfield, and now have all gone our separate ways again. I hope we continue to gather together often, whether here, or somewhere else. Family is tops in my book! :) I know Paul feels the same way.

May the new year be full of family - and always hold lots of laughter, good conversations, games, fun, and healthy times for us all.

Updated Picture

Photo removed

Here's a sweet photo with some of us in it. Sorry Celeste, Paul, and Miles. You were inside at the time. I'm sure Noah will get the complete family pictures to us soon. In the meantime, this one's lots of fun to see. I sure enjoyed our time together this month. Happy July!

Lordy, and now it's nearly July! I am certainly looking forward to the weekend of the 4th when everyone is here. We MUST get a family photo taken. It's LONG overdue, you must admit. ( Click on picture to see full size. See, no Brynn. No Isabelle. Too many red eyes. :))

Spring Has Sprung

In case you come take a peek, here's a lovely picture I took on Earth Day. :) Happy Spring family! I wish I could comment on here, but I still can't. But I can post, and that's something.

So far it's been a lovely spring. If I just had a crew of folks to help me with my flower gardens I'd really be all set! I got a lot done this past weekend, so that's a start. I wonder what it's like in China right now? Sending good wishes to Noah...

State of the Nation

So, did anyone else watch President Obama's address last night? Noah and I are always hugely entertained by who stands up and who doesn't, what they stand up for, etc. We were pretty blown away by the response he got on both sides of the aisle when he began talking about health care reform but I suppose everyone agrees that the system doesn't work...they just disagree on how to fix it. Still very entertaining!!! Nancy Pelosi was the most excited that I have ever seen her during one of these speeches.
Noah and I both got the sense that this is a President who really wants to get things done and, although, there are many who are saying that he is too ambitious, that he has just given us a laundry list to throw in his face I really admire his determination to turn this crisis into a positive. Loved the guests that he chose to invite especially the banker who gave back his $60,000 bonus. Too bad we didn't see more of that, eh?
